I can’t believe US workers current health statistics (thanks for sharing Jen McCay on FB)!
According to a recent Gallup study:
- 6 of 7 workers are OVERWEIGHT w/o chronic health issue
- 86% of all US workers are either overweight, have chronic disease, or both
- Which leads to 450 million missed work days per year
- Cost of $153 Billion USD in lost productivity
It’s time for a change America! One of the most cost effective ways is through life behavior change! I’m really excited and passionate about the field of health coaching b/c this is exactly what we do! Guide people to change their health behaviors. Which will then lead to management and prevention of chronic diseases (e.g. obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancers, etc.).
