Sessions #10-14; 86 left to go! On a roll!

This week has been a whirlwind. Trying not to have head pop or spin off. Remember that song we used to sing as kids when popping off dandelion heads w/our fingers, “Momma had a baby and it’s head popped off!” I don’t really understand the context of that song…just the last part and the physical activity of popping off a dandelion head while singing. Well that’s what I’ve been feeling the past two weeks or so. The combination of house renovations, contractor/designer meetings, choosing design ideas, looking into home insurance/movers, etc.; meeting and speaking w/clients, hosting workshops, attending meetings/networking/social events, working on social media marketing networks, making appointments to see fertility specialists, or hanging out w/friends and hubby…something has got to give…and it’s my head! 🙂 Okay…vented and now I’m feeling better.

Session 10: Female- talked more about relationship issue vs. health issue. It was still a coaching session nonetheless and she has a clearer strategy on how to move forward.

Session 11: Female- discussed more about relationship issue AND health issue. Was a productive session. Strategies explored, action plans realized.

Session 12: Female- discussed health and work issue. Very productive as well. Possible strategies explored.

Session 13: Female- discussed health and emotional issues. Very productive for both of us. Since she’s a reporter I was being asked some very meaningful questions as well! I guess that’s a great sign of a very good reporter. Strategies and action plans explored.

Session 14: Male- discussed health issue. Will begin private sessions in 1.5 weeks. Looking forward to it.

Only 86 left to go! I guess offering free initial consultations helps in more ways than one: people can see your coaching style & I also get more practice in becoming an experienced coach faster. Win-win all around…I like that!

Have another Introductory Am I Hungry?(R) Mindful Eating workshop tomorrow and another 8 week workshop beginning Wed (5 May) evening to prepare for.

Have to make time for me & my fitness schedule! Haven’t worked out in the past three days and I’m feeling it! Will get energized and workout for sure today.

Hey, I have a great idea for a workshop topic!!! “Finding work/life/relationship/fitness balance” or something along those lines. I have to master it first before preaching it. Luckily, I’m on the way to finding it one day (it better be sooner rather than later).

Oh! One last thing, I attended a great workshop this past Thurs evening at a HKICC (Hong Kong International Coaching Community) annual general meeting (AGM). One of the main speakers was Lenny Ravich (www.ha-p.com and www.lennyravich.com). The topic was “Easier DONE than Said”. Fun, full of laughter, and a very meaningful presentation. It reminded me of how short life is and not to work so much. A very valuable lesson indeed.

Thank you, Lenny, for presenting and for winning the “sperm race”. We need more people like you. I hope in my lifetime, I am surrounded by more people like him. I ended up purchasing his book “A funny thing happened on the way to enlightenment”. Can’t wait to read it. Stay tuned for a “Julie’s Notes” version!
